Types of Radiator Hose
- EPDM Radiator Hose
- Moulded Radiator Hose
EPDM Radiator Hose
With its exceptional resistance to oxygen, ozone, and sunshine, EPDM is a terpolymer comprising ethylene, propylene, and a diene monomer. Polar substances like phosphate esters, many ketones, and alcohol are resistant to it. In addition, the EPDM tube offers strong electrical characteristics, flexibility at low temperatures, and outstanding heat, water, and steam resistance. However, it has weak resistance to petroleum-based compounds.
To accommodate particular areas, radiator coolant hoses can be factory-moulded into curves. Due to its excellent resistance to heat, hot water, and ethylene glycol, the most common antifreeze, ethylene propylene (EPDM) is the standard tube material. SBR or NBR might be used instead in some circumstances. The cover might be made of EPDM, SBR, or CR, and reinforcement could be added using fibre or cloth.
Moulded Radiator Hose
In order to save you time, money, and energy, we create our moulded radiator hoses to fit upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant applications to OEM-quality specifications. This eliminates the need for you to visit your OE dealer for radiator hose replacements. Marine applications approved. The most complete line of replacement curved hoses is made by Gates.
- Designed to withstand electrochemical deterioration, the main reason for hose failure.
- Pre-shaped to fit and to ensure perfectly sealed conditions.
